Using the tools
The calculators are free to use, for personal and commercial work alike. No account is required and nothing needs to be paid for or attributed.
Files you generate are yours
Any DXF or output you produce with these tools is yours to use however you like, including in commercial and client work. No licence, credit or royalty is claimed over the geometry you generate from your own dimensions.
The site's own source code, page content, wording and design remain the property of the site operator.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or server;
- use automated scraping or high-volume requests that degrade service for others;
- upload malicious files, or files you do not have the right to share;
- use the contact form for spam or bulk marketing;
- re-publish the site's content as your own.
Access may be restricted where any of the above occurs.
Accuracy and verification
The tools produce mathematical results from the values you enter. They are a planning and fabrication aid and you must verify all dimensions before manufacturing. The tool disclaimer forms part of these terms and sets out exactly what is and is not accounted for.
No professional engineering services
Ruthen Systems is a design-automation and technical-systems practice, not a licensed professional engineering practice. Nothing on this site constitutes licensed professional engineering services, and no output is an engineering certification, approval, stamp or sign-off. Engineering decisions — whether a design is adequate, safe or compliant — belong to the responsible engineer on your side or a licensed professional engineer in your jurisdiction. Where your work requires that, engage one.
No warranty and limitation of liability
The site and its tools are provided free and as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site, the tools or the generated files — including wasted material, machine time, rework, delay or lost profit.
Availability
This is a small, privately operated site. It may be unavailable, changed or withdrawn at any time without notice, and tools may be added, altered or removed.
Enquiries and confidentiality
Sending a message does not create a contract or a professional relationship. Any project work would be agreed separately in writing. Information you send is treated as confidential — see the privacy policy.
