Start a project
The most useful first message is one concrete example of the work you keep repeating. A drawing, a spreadsheet, or a plain description is enough. The optional questions below it make the first reply more specific.

What happens next
- You get a short, direct reply — not a sales sequence.
- If automating it is not worth the effort, you will be told that. A quick no is more valuable than a slow maybe.
- If it is, the reply names the rung that fits — usually a fixed-fee assessment — and what to send next.
- Nothing you send is shared or published. Client work stays confidential unless you give written permission — see privacy.
Good things to include
- How often the job comes up, and roughly how long it takes now.
- What software has to open the result (Inventor, AutoCAD, a cutter, the ERP).
- Any shop-specific rule the standard calculators get wrong.
- Whether the output needs a licensed engineer's approval, and whether you have one.
What happens to your files
- Project files are used only to review your enquiry.
- They are not published, and not shared with third parties.
- Uploads are stored on a private server, outside the public web directory.
- Submissions and attachments are deleted after 90 days, unless they are still needed for an active project or by law.
- You can ask for yours to be deleted sooner, at any time.
