Workflow Automation Assessment
One repeating task, examined end to end, with a direct answer: automate it, partially automate it, or leave it alone.
Who it is for
A manufacturer with one obviously repetitive design, drafting or BOM task and no clear idea what automating it would take, cost, or whether the rules are even complete. Typical signs:
- Designers copy the last job and edit it.
- A spreadsheet holds the sizing or configuration logic.
- The BOM is typed into the ERP by hand.
- Drawing packages are repeated per order, per unit, per site.
- Quotes wait on engineering.
- Errors reach the shop as scrap, rework or returns.

- Two or three example jobs — models, drawings, spreadsheets, whatever exists.
- An hour to ninety minutes with the designer who does the work and the manager who owns it.
- Access to the CAD templates and standards in use.
- Order volume, and the honest error and rework stories.

- Rules inventory — every rule found, its source, its owner, its gaps and contradictions.
- Feasibility per step — iLogic, an Inventor add-in, a standalone application, a packaged product, or not worth it.
- Technical risks — template quality, data quality, environment differences.
- ROI estimate with its assumptions stated: hours, frequency, error cost.
- Recommended scope for an Automation Module or Production System, with a fixed quote.
- Responsibility statement — who approves outputs on your side.
Two weeks, then a decision
Pricing model
Fixed fee, quoted before we start. If the assessment leads to a Module or System within sixty days, the fee is credited against it. The report is yours either way.
