Production System

Configuration, drawings, cut files, BOM and ERP data connected into one verified flow — with a rule library your designers own.

When you need this

  • Quoting and engineering cannot keep up with orders.
  • Drawings, BOMs and the ERP disagree, and someone reconciles them by hand.
  • Several product families, each with its own spreadsheet and its own expert.
  • Configuration errors reach the shop floor.
  • Knowledge sits with one or two people who will not be there forever.

How it is phased

An assessment first, then one family at a time. Each module is accepted on your own past orders before the next starts, so the system earns its keep from the first family and the integration work connects things that already work.

order /parameters rules captured inventory · owner tests per rule deterministic versioned models drawings DXF · BOM your engineerchecks · approves
What it connects: order data → rules → CAD → drawings and DXF → BOM → ERP and quoting, with your engineer's check where it is today.

Milestones per module; integration on capped time and materials because ERP surprises are real.
What a Production System hands over
Deliverable What it contains
Rule library Every family’s rules in one versioned place, with an owner per rule and a test per rule.
Generators per family Models, drawing sets, DXF and BOM data from the same parameter set, so they cannot disagree.
Integration Order data in from spreadsheets, quoting or ERP export; BOM and cost data out in the format your system imports.
Validation suite Regression across every family from your own past orders; drawing-standard checks on every output.
Documentation and training For designers, estimators and whoever maintains the ERP side.
Support handoff A monthly allocation, a change log, and an annual rules review.

What is not promised: web-facing customer configurators at scale, twenty-four-hour support, or delivery by a team working in parallel. This is a one-person practice and the plan is built around that.

Fabrication Generator: cones, cylinders and clamps with a second implementation that checks the first

A portable Windows application that produces cutting DXF, real DWG drawings, PDF and a job record for rolled and press-brake parts — and refuses to invent the numbers it cannot know.

Result 1,078 checks across four independent methods; one datum difference with common calculators found and documented rather than hidden.

A fabrication geometry core and six public tools, verified three ways

The engine behind the free tools on this site: developments for cones, hoppers, profiles, bends, bolt circles and pipe cuts, exported as deterministic DXF and checked by software that had no part in writing it.

Result Every exported file audited by an independent DXF library; hand-derived golden cases; accepted in real CAD.

An Autodesk Inventor add-in that turns a hopper configuration into a verified release package

A parametric rectangular-transition-hopper generator for Autodesk Inventor 2026: eleven inputs become part models, an assembly, drawings, flat-pattern DXF, PDF and a bill of materials — then the package is validated and refused if any check fails.

Result 64 engine rules across eight families, with a second implementation that agrees on all seven reference sizes; flat patterns read back within the 2.5% validation gate (about 1.2% on the nominal hopper); 111 automated tests pass and every release carries a SHA-256 manifest.

    fixed fee 1–2 weeks

  2. One generator for one job: parameters in, models, drawings, cut files and BOM out — tested against your own past orders.

    fixed scope 3–8 weeks

More than one family, and the ERP is involved?

Describe the families, the volumes and the systems in play. The reply proposes an assessment scope that can turn into a phased plan — or says which single Module to start with.
